Thankfully my introduction to Homeopathy came very early in my life when I worked in Belfast City Council; A colleagues father was very into homeopathy and if any of us were sick, she brought us in little white pills you sucked and we got better, so we called them ‘Magic Pills’. When my children came along I started my own collection of magic pills and I found them invaluable when dealing with the majority of childhood illnesses.
In 1987 I took over a Health Store in Belfast, there I found ‘my niche’ as I found I really enjoyed working with the public and helping people to look at alternative ways to deal with health issues, I began to see that there was a more holistic approach to health, so I started training in alternative therapies. I am now qualified in Reflexology, Kinesiology, BioTesting & Therapy, Reiki and Classical Homeopathy.
Of all my trainings BioTesting & Therapy is my passion, it took me deeper into Homeopathy and the world of subtle energy which I find fascinating and exciting, I just love getting the WOW factor!
Fr. Fred Fox the founder of BT&T passed on a method of testing to us which is so unique and amazing – using the indicator muscle we can gain information from clients and give practical help to their life force, so I may have thought I knew the answer before testing but I have lost count how many times after testing a client I had been originally wrong!
I now have been involved with BioTesting & Therapy for over 20 years now and just love the holistic approach – emphasizing the care of the whole person, not just on a physical level, but emotionally, mentally and spiritually, I have come to believe all these systems interrelate, dysfunction on any one level can lead to disorder in other parts of the body. When we recognize this we can also recognize the body’s unique capacity for self-healing – It is just a wonderful miracle!
As I had been using Homeopathy for many years before being introduced to BioTesting & Therapy I was intrigued how the homeopathic remedies could be stored in little glass bottles and to get them to work, you ‘tapped them in’! – This was a bit unbelievable!
So a bit like faith – using them makes it believable!
On my first holiday after studying BioTesting instead of taking my homeopathic medicine kit I took my BioTesting vials. A big leap of faith as I never went anywhere without my homeopathic first aid kit. While on holiday I got stung by a bee on my hand – Panic – no pills! So as my hand started to swell I reached for my BioTesting homeopathic kit and took out ‘Apis Mel’ a homeopathic remedy made from the ‘honey bee’ – tapped it in 7×7 and to my amazement the swell subsided
WOW – IT WORKS!
So from there on I just knew it worked and I started using it daily with family and friends and then later on my clients.
One of the problems I found with BioTesting & Therapy was explaining it; we are a nation of ‘pills for ills’. Explaining homeopathy to clients was hard enough but at least you were taking pills and generally the public accepts that you are taking a substance to counteract the illness, using an energy to counteract the ill effects – is a bit harder to comprehend!
My son and I tease each other, he too is a qualified homeopath and we would talk remedies and results – a text we often send to each other is “MAGIC”
There is so much more we don’t know about these remedies and the value of having them!
I am indebted to Freddie and those others who have passed on their knowledge to me and also to my clients who have had the confidence in me and the work I do.
BioTesting & Homeopathy
Freddie refers to his therapy as a bio-energetic (Bio (life) Energetic (force) approach to disease, restoring the body’s natural energies working in harmony with the immune system.
Freddies’ manuals are the accumulation of over twenty years research and experience into alternative medicine and treatments and they have become the definitive text for the teaching of BioTesting and Therapy today.
I believe that his manual, with the combination of ancient wisdom and new science is an introduction to health care for modern times. Freddie’s encyclopaedic of treatment of subtle-energy fields include Acupuncture, Bach flower remedies, Colours, Radionics, Chakras, Magnetics and Homeopathy, all of these working with our energy fields. It provides information on alternative health care, and helps to explain what possibilities are available as more and more people choose to take responsibility for their own health. His intention was to help people to improve their own health and recover from disease by working in harmony with the immune system.
As students of BioTesting & Therapy we learn about subtle energies and the effect they can have on our energy field and most of us have experienced these effects but what do we know of homeopathy – being one of the main tools we use.

Homeopathy, as we know it today, was founded in the late 18th century by the German physician Samuel Hahnemann. He was known for his work in pharmacology, hygiene, public health, industrial toxicity and psychiatry. Because of his frustration with conventional treatments at the time (bloodletting, the use of mercury and other toxins) he set out to find a more rational and humane approach to medicine – he advocated the use of single drugs at lower doses and promoted an immaterial, vitalistic view of how living organisms function, believing that diseases have spiritual, as well as physical causes.
He formulated three principals based on his research.
1. Based on his doctrine of similia similibus curentur ‘Like Cures Like’
This means that a substance taken in a large dose that produces the symptoms of an illness will have the reverse effect if taken in a very minute dose. This same law was the basis for the theory of immunizations and even used today with allergy testing.
2. The More Diluted the Remedy, the Greater the Potency
This principle, is probably the hardest for the rational mind to comprehend. Most believe that more is better. A medicine is more effective in a higher dose. Homeopathy believes the opposite. The more diluted a remedy the greater ability to be effective. Homeopathic remedies are prepared by producing what is called a mother tincture, which is an alcoholic extract of a substance, and then it is diluted by taking 1 part and mixing it with 99 parts pure water or alcohol and succussing (vigorous shaking). Each time this happens it is rated as 1C potency. This is done numerous times until there is no physical sign of the original material. When a remedy is broken down there is no visible sign of anything in it.
3. Illness Is Specific to the Individual
This is truly a holistic model. Comparing this to the conventional medical approach that wants to give specific conditions the same or similar treatment, in homeopathy each condition is treated individually. Practitioners of classical homeopathy consult two types of reference when prescribing remedies called repertories (index of disease symptoms) and materia medicas (a collection of “drug pictures) to determine the remedy that most closely matches the total picture of the patient’s symptoms – they also take into consideration the patient’s personal traits, physical and psychological state, and life history. It takes years of study and practice to be proficient in this process.
There are two main schools and teachings of homeopathy in use today “Classical” and “Complex” and of course we could argue “BioTesting” as a third!
What is the difference between Classical homeopathy and Modern homeopathy?
Classical, or constitutional homeopathy is homeopathy the way it was originally created by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. Hahnemann was in favour of only using one homeopathic remedy at a time in order to clearly understand the effect of that remedy on the organism.
Constitutional homeopathy is homeopathy directed at the constitution, or rather, the symptom picture of the entire individual rather than at a disease. This is the preferred way to treat chronic conditions. In fact, the condition is never directly treated, but the individual is. As the symptom picture changes, which it invariably will in chronic conditions, the homeopathic remedy is changed in accordance. There is no such thing as one constitutional remedy for a person, the remedy is always given for the symptom picture which is present at the moment.
This is completely the opposite of conventional medicine in which the disease is treated but the individual almost completely ignored. In constitutional homeopathy one remedy at a time is given as described above.
The terms modern or ‘complex homeopathy’ refer mostly to the administration of mixtures of homeopathic remedies. Most health food stores and chemists sell homeopathic complexes for conditions like colds and flu’s, allergies, insomnia etc and they are often useful and helpful in acute conditions. In chronic conditions they are not nearly as useful, since, once again, the emphasis needs to be on the individual rather than on the condition.
BioTesting has the option of both, we have single vials and we have combination remedies in the organ vials and the gift of testing the individual to see exactly what the client needs.
So how does it work?

“Homeopathic researchers are finding that each homeopathic remedy has its own “fingerprint” on the electromagnetic spectrum. It appears that homeopathic remedies work on a vibrational/ energetic level. Unlike most pharmaceutical or natural medicines, homeopathic remedies appear to work directly at the electromagnetic level. Each chemical and microbe, each mineral, plant and living being, radiates a magnetic field unique to its kind”, and he goes on to state “Homeopathic remedies serve a further remarkable purpose: they help to “tune” the body. The reason for this is that their magnetic fields correspond to those of healthy organs of the body. Magnetic oscillations which radiate from the remedies help weakened organs to expel toxic substances and then go back into harmony with the rest of the body. This enhances the way the body functions and – it opens the way to better health”.
Universal energy is one of life’s mysteries – I feel an easier way to explain energy healing is to show the electromagnetic spectrum
The electromagnetic spectrum is the term used by scientists to describe the entire range of light that exists. From radio waves to gamma rays, most of the light in the universe is, in fact, invisible to us but exists….There is more to this world than meet the eye!
As you can see the electromagnetic spectrum is a continuous range of wavelengths
- Radio waves /Mobile phones
- Micro wave
- Infrared /TV Remote
- Visible light/The light that our eyes see
- Sun
- Xrays
- Gamma Rays/Radiation
The types of radiation that occur in different parts of this spectrum have different uses and dangers, which depend on their wavelength and frequency-but they are all energies and can have an energetic effect on the human energy system.
e.g. would you buy a house in the field next to an electrical pylon?
I know I would not……I can’t see any ill effect but it just could not be good for me!
So lots of eminent scientists, doctors and followers of nature over the years have come to believe that energy is the way for our future health and Freddie was one of those people.
As Jan De Vries states in his book ‘Body Energy’
That wonderful word “energy” conveys hope for the future, even though with our present knowledge we can only scrape the surface of what it signifies. The future of medicine may well lie in positive energy……..we have to learn to use energy to our advantage and in doing so exercise great care. If we neglect to do this, energy could destroy us all and wipe mankind of the face of the earth.
BioTesting & Therapy ‘Homeopathic remedies & Applications’
There are thousands of homeopathic remedies used today and new one’s made every day by homeopaths round the world – the more widely used and proven are recorded in books called materia medica’s.
When training in BioTesting and therapy we recommend students buy the HOMOEPATHIC MATERIA MEDICA by William BOERICKE, M.D it gives you and your client more information about a selected remedy.
In June 1994 Freddie created a paper ‘Homeopathic remedies and applications’ listing all the remedies and the organ vials that contained them, he had over 250 remedies listed.
After more research and organ additions to the kits we now have 593 homeopathic remedies in our combination vials.
I have compiled an up to date BioTesting ‘Homeopathic remedies and applications’, this work includes all the remedies that are in our combination vials – It shows all the remedies and is cross referenced to all the organ vials that the remedy is in – I find it a very useful tool and hope that it is a worthwhile addition to your BioTesting & Therapy notes. Maybe what Freddie intended when he created his mission statement –
“Better health for all by the year 2000”…was for us to simply use the organ vials.
He has created a system of healing in the combination vials alone – you need nothing else!
